Three Terrific Tea Towels

It’s been a while since I’ve posted here, so I decided to tell you the stories behind these three terrific tea towels.

recipetowelFirst, “The Basics” was designed for a Spoonflower design challenge, Grandma’s Kitchen. The starter for the challenge was to use an heirloom recipe. Because I couldn’t decide which recipe to use, I simply filled the towel with ratio recipes. The pen and ink drawings give this towel a nice vintage feel.

I knew that I wanted to use that particular drawing, but as I arranged the months around it, I struggled to pull the whole design into a single idea. Then, I discovered inspiration in an old fashioned seed packet to bring the whole towel together.

I hope you enjoyed the little stories each of these towels has. All three will be available at the next Blairfully Made open house as well as on my Spoonflower shop.
