Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.
Psalm 55:22
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
“Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” Matthew 6:26
“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” Matthew 10: 29-31
“…do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

“For by him [Jesus] all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” Colossians 1:16-17
“…casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
Studio Update:
The studio update looks a little bit more like a garden update this month…(since that’s where I’ve spent a lot of my time when it isn’t raining). Weeds abound, but so do the good plants. Critters and flowers are still a popular subject for my art lately.

Homemade Lasagna
For the pasta:
- 5 oz durum wheat flour
- 4 oz all purpose flour
- 3 eggs
For the cheese filling:
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoons dried basil (use more if fresh)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons oregano
- Salt to taste
Other ingredients:
- 28 oz jar of spaghetti sauce
- 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese
- 1 lb Italian sausage, browned
To make the pasta, mix flour and eggs until combined. Dough will be dry. Wrap with plastic wrap and let rest 10 minutes. For each of the portions of dough, flatten them enough to go through the pasta machine on its largest setting, and run it through the pasta machine. Fold the dough in half and run it through again. Repeat on the largest setting ~9-10 times, then step the size down incrementally, running the dough through the machine twice on each setting. I rolled mine to size 7.
To make lasagna, grease a 9×13″ baking dish and spoon a little bit of sauce in the bottom. Mix the remaining sauce and Italian sausage. Layer the following: pasta, half the ricotta cheese mixture with 1/2 cup mozzarella, pasta, half the remaining sauce mixture, and repeat, ending with a topping of mozzarella cheese. Bake at 375° F for 30-40 minutes until mozzarella on top is golden and lasagna is bubbly around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by!
